Ryan Turner Productions is an award-winning and very active company that focuses on all aspects of film production.
While RT Productions started out as simply a means of compiling all of my work, over the past few years it has grown into something incredibly more than that. Our short films have played at festivals all across the nation and even other parts of the world--winning various awards. Our web series have been featured in local press and viewed by thousands. And our web videos have garnered a cumulative of 100K+ views. Founded during my stay as a Film and Media Studies major at UC Santa Barbara, Ryan Turner Productions began creating comedy web shorts in 2007 and as time passed my productivity and ability increased—making over 15 during my four year stint. Unlike other film students, however, all of my projects (with the exception of Silent Heart) were created independent of the school and were funded and produced using contests/fundraisers/kickstarter and the devoted help of my crews.
Ryan Turner has collaborated with other production companies, talented artists, all with the intention of creating the best projects possible. After having to juggle school work, filmmaking, jobs, and a social life in college (while graduating as high honors), I am optimistic and excited for the future of my career where I can put full focus on honing my craft. I make a point of releasing weekly Videologs that keep my viewers up-to-date on what I'm doing and show everything from teach tutorials to show behind the scenes footage.
Film-making is a very important part of my life and I have devoted immense amounts of time towards becoming the best director I can possibly be. Whenever I have time to spare, I push on and continually challenge myself with new and exciting projects. There has not been a time in recent memory where I don't have a project of some sort going on. Why do I push so hard? This is what I love to do and when it comes to doing what I love, nothing will stop me from succeeding.
Currently, I am working as a freelance filmmaker editing and directing projects to pay the bills. I film and edit weekly videologs to keep active and allow people to follow my progress!
